City of Eldorn
Nepper's Merchant Guide
While there are three main ports in Eldorn, one in Southern Lazari, one at Elid proper, and one at the Ironscale Holds , the greatest of these is manned by the dwarves at Ironscale. The dwarven navy, a fleet of great ironclad machines, has long been a potent force in exploration and mercantile shipping. Due to expertly manufacture lighter metal alloys, the ships that reach the seas are far both battle ready and swift. Combine this with elvish ingenuity for arcane engine design and you have the renowned model, the Silver Gull. While they are few in number, these gulls are all that is needed to turn the Eldrine navy into a powerhouse of uncontested strength on the high seas.
This naval supremacy given Eldorn a strict advantage over other nations and had led to the growth of numerous industries appearing in Eldorn. One, of course, is the processing of ore. Through contracts with dwarven captains and wrights, they are able to provide the ore to fleet their ships. Also said ore maintains the famed Aurin Forge, home of Brattelix, gnomish artificer and tea enthusiast. Brattelix once commented that while he received a greater share of precious metals in Eldorn than any other country, “His share, be it of [various metals listed at length], was surprisingly small, compared to the expanse of metal being poured into the Underdark. At least they don’t pour my Earl Gray into those pits.” Tea, as well as other herbs and spices, were another set of Eldorn’s imports which they brought to market. Exotic flora and fauna, spices, and texts, were but some of the riches Eldorn brought in at it’s prime.
